Finally! The overall Universal energies are moving forward. Maybe not as quickly as you’d like, but forward none the less. One of the important things to understand, is that you need to respect the movement and process of the journey you are moving through. Whether that process is a career shift, relationship changes, or a personal crisis, it’s important to honor, resolve, and release the past, then open yourself for the new paths that will guide you forward.

I say this, because as I have witnessed many clients preparing for big changes in their lives. The bigger the change, the scarier it could be to aspects of oneself that still wear battle scares. Changes can bring up issues and fears such as imposter syndrome, insecurities, vulnerability issues, guilt about leaving someone behind, just to name a few.

Relationships! Our life is one big relationship! We are literally in relationship to everything! Our jobs, career, business, our friends, family, environment, our communities…. We are always in relationship with something or someone – it is the nature of our lives.

Ideally, we hope for wonderful exchanges within these relationships, but that doesn’t always happen, for the very reason, and the core piece of what is the driving force of what I’d like to talk to you about today...

Happy New Year!

Wow! What a ride 2022 was! I know many experienced similar things, such as an unrevealing of the past and repositioning for the future in mysterious ways. Mysterious because we are being prepared for expanded, never experienced realities. Kind of scary and unnerving because we are bumping up against many internal issues that are reflected in our outer world.  However, the more aligned you are with your Soul, the better you will feel. The awakening and need for a more conscious reality is moving us back into our Center.

Turning of the Tide

At the beginning of every year is a time when we are changing cycles, which means we are releasing elements of the past so we can move into our new cycle with more clarity.

The end of 2022 and the first few weeks of this year has been extra difficult for some as we have been pulled back to reexamine, resolve and release the past. This “unraveling” has many layers!

For real and expansive change to happen in your life, you need to put “doing” in second place.  I know, it’s hard to grasp, because you’ve been conditioned to go, go, go, and do, do, do, and not question some of your ingrained actions.

Don’t get me wrong, you have to “do,” but most of you are taking action from an unconscious position that may not give you the results you truly desire.  

The problem with just “doing,” something out of pure habit is that it keeps you circling within an old limiting set of beliefs that are ego based and accepted by the mind. As many of you who have followed me know, the ego self only operates from what it’s learned – through the experiences of your past. This applies to both business and personal situations.

You end up with the same results. So, in business you work harder, but again you get the same results. It’s the repeating ego cycle that severely limits your growth....

Great leadership requires vulnerability – the willingness to break through the status quo and expectations to move boldly into new territory. This new territory is our future, and it must be taken through an authentic, soul-centered position to help our communities, clients, students, and families rise into their greatest potential. The way of our future is together, valued, and united.

The topic of vulnerability came to the forefront of my mind today because a shaman who has invited me to a personal sweat lodge ceremony next week asked what my thoughts or feelings were about this sacred rite. I told him, vulnerability. At first, he assumed I was fearful of the state of vulnerability, because most people are afraid. But I corrected him, by explaining my belief from my own experience.

I have seen countless individuals who have tremendous financial wealth, a thriving business, beautiful homes, boats, cars, everything that they believed would bring them happiness, yet deep connection with loved ones, fulfillment and joy is still elusive for them. We have been inundated with others’ beliefs, opinions, and thoughts from the moment we were born. Actually, it begins prior to our birth. Our ancestors’ beliefs are hardwired into our DNA. Beliefs and the behaviors they initiate, no matter their origin remain until they are changed.

How do we know whether our thoughts and beliefs are truly from our authentic self or not? We must change a fundamental behavior and bring our energy, focus and attention within the self.

The thoughts and beliefs that are from an external source, such as society, family, friends, etc. may not be what your heart knows as your authentic truth. Often there is an internal discomfort or conflict around a thought or belief that you may have desensitized...

We were created to grow, nurture, and expand who we are! We are here to create amazing things and experiences!!!!

This means we really can have it all! But we need to allow ourselves to expand our thinking and the way we live our lives.

I see so many business owners who follow “the rules” but still feel frustrated. Even though they experience success in business, their relationships suffer, and their purpose is in question.
